CosmoDRAGoN simulations—I. Dynamics and observable signatures of radio jets in cosmological environments

We present the Cosmological Double Radio Active Galactic Nuclei (CosmoDRAGoN) project: a large suite of simulated AGN jets in cosmological environments. These environments sample intra-cluster media galaxy clusters that form smooth particle hydrodynamics (SPH) simulations, which we then use as inputs for grid-based hydrodynamic simulations radio jets. Initially conical are injected with range jet powers, speeds (both relativistic and non-relativistic), opening angles; follow their collimation propagation on scales tens to hundreds kiloparsecs, calculate spatially-resolved synthetic spectra post-processing. In this paper, technical overview project, key early science results from six representative produce sources both core- (Fanaroff-Riley Type I) edge-brightened II) morphologies.
